The Massachusetts Association of School Business Officials, Inc. (MASBO) is a non-profit professional organization of school administrators whose responsibilities include the business affairs of public and non-public schools.  The Massachusetts Association of School Business Officials exists to enhance the competence and knowledge of School BusinessOfficials in Massachusetts by providing exceptional leadership, professional development and support services to members to enable them to perform the responsibilities of their positions to the highest standards of the profession and maximize their contribution to the success of students and public education in the Commonwealth.

MASBO’s 53rd Annual Institute LEAD WITH CLARITY will take place at the Sea Crest Beach Hotel in North Falmouth, MA. from Tuesday, May 14th through Friday, May 17th.

Friend of MASBO Award
The Friend of MASBO Award recognizes individuals who meet one or more of the following criteria:
1. Have made a significant contribution (including but not limited to pro-active involvement in the legislative process, the creation of a model program/procedure, the establishment of an exemplary standard or practice) that facilitated a process by which school business officials contribute to educating students in their districts;
2. Have consistently, and on a long-term basis, provided significant assistance to MASBO in the implementation of its various functions and responsibilities; and/or
3. Have provided assistance to MASBO in a way that exceeds expectations.

Donald Johnson Operational & Cost Efficiency Award
The Donald D. Johnson Operational and Cost Efficiency Award recognizes school districts for their efforts in developing replicable, cost efficient approaches that address operational challenges commonly burdening districts.

John F. Conway Distinguished Service Award
The John F. Conway Distinguished Service Award recognizes the accomplishments of MASBO members relative to their effectiveness addressing their district's educational mission. Examples include preventive maintenance facilities programs, increasing school lunch participation, energy conservations programs, private sector partnerships, improved transportation systems, or streamlining the order and delivery systems for classroom materials.

President's Award
The President's Award recognizes a MASBO member who has contributed to the growth and improvement of the profession; his or her investment of time and skills have greatly improved school efficiency. The President's Award is given in recognition of an individual's outstanding contribution to his or her school district, community, and/or MASBO.

John Crafton Lifetime Achievement Award
The John A. Crafton Lifetime Achievement Award was created to honor individuals who have demonstrated significant and sustained contribution to the field of school business administration in the Commonwealth. It is intended to provide meaningful recognition to an individual for an entire professional career rather than a single event or project.
